No Matter The Situation I Will Praise The Lord

Hits: 4
58 mins 50 secs
The year is running to the end, and more importantly we are entering the month of thanksgiving. Everybody is counting their blessings in the year. Testimonies are being prepared to prove God’s goodness and faithfulness. To some people there can’t be a better year. Some made advancement in business, some got a wholesome promotion. To some it is the year of opened doors. Indeed, to some it’s been a year of watershed achievement. Whereas, for some people they could not explain why life has been so miserable and unfair to them; heaven seems to be cast in iron. The shame and reproach of some people seem to be so obvious and they feel all eyes are on them. But wait before you begin to heap a mountain of guilt upon yourself and to give God names that can never be associated with His character.

Not all unfortunate circumstances are caused by our sin (James 1:2-4, Rom.5:3; 1 Pet 1:16) God means well for His Children always (Jer. 29:11& 12; Jer. 33:3; Psalms 23: 6) In Luke 1: 5 &6.

There was a couple who were eminent for piety and integrity. The couple Walked in all the commandments of God and nobody was able to lay any evil to their charge. They were as exemplary and conscientious in the discharge of their religious duties as they were in the discharge of the offices of civil life. What a sacred pair!  Elizabeth and Zachariah made their duty to God, to their neighbours, and to themselves, walk constantly hand in hand. The couple were second to Job and his wife (Job 1:1). The difference was that Job’s wife was not cooperative with her husband.

Problems of life become easier to manage when you have supportive people around you. Let us observe some points in the lives of Zachariah and Elizabeth:  They have made long time prayers to which they did not receive immediate answer. They remained steadfast in God’s service as a couple. They were aging in the midst of known people and in the same environment where they have been known.

Opportunity came for Zachariah to offer incense in the temple and the announcement that ended his reproach came They waited for their glory to manifest., Most people would have changed their location; can you imagine if the Angel did not find him in his position when he brought the message.

Zachariah kept the honour of service, He received an unusual-and unbelievable miracle.  The couple received a prophet who was a link between the Old and the New Testament. They had the privilege of parenting the announcer of the long-awaited Messiah. Know for sure no prayer goes un-noticed. No extra ordinary miracle without extra ordinary Faith, Patient and Prayer. God is about to reverse your bad situation; wait and see.
